Luncheons

and Socials

Stock Show Sisters luncheons & socials are community-led, grassroots events hosted by women who believe in investing in the next generation of girls in agriculture.

These gatherings are intentionally small, casual, and local — typically 20 to 50 girls — creating an environment where confidence grows, friendships form, and honest conversations happen. They last typically 60 to 90 minutes and include a welcome, light snacks, panel discussion, craft, reflection, prayer time, and group photo.

Every luncheon or social is a true collaboration between Stock Show Sisters and a local host. By working together, we can light up the stock show world.

How Luncheons & Socials Work

Stock Show Sisters provides the structure, tools, and support.

Local hosts bring the heart, relationships, and community connection.

Each event follows a proven framework, while still reflecting the personality and culture of the local agriculture community.

Stock Show Sisters provides:

A complete Host Kit with step-by-step guidance

The registration platform and attendee management

Event script guidelines and flow

Branded marketing materials and promotion

A prayer journal and gift for each attendee

Ongoing support before, during, and after the event

Local hosts provide:

A venue (which is often donated by a school, ag group, or community partner)
Light snacks or refreshments
An emcee or facilitator
Three college-age or young women panelists (often successful local girls in the stock show or ag world)
Optional local sponsors for snacks or giveaways
Together, we create something meaningful — without overcomplicating it.

What Happens at a Luncheon or Social?

These events are designed to be easy to host and impactful to attend, lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes.

Each gathering includes:

  • A warm welcome and introduction
  • A panel discussion led by three relatable mentors
  • A group activity or simple craft to spark connection
  • A group photo to capture the moment
  • A relaxed, encouraging wrap-up

No pressure. No perfection.
Just connection, encouragement, and real conversation.

What We Talk About

Girls in the stock show world are taught how to work hard, compete, and strive for excellence. They're taught that they can be treated equally and compete on a fair playing field, regardless of their gender.

But many of the most important lessons they need for life aren't necessarily being talked about in the stock show community.

Stock Show Sisters creates safe, guided spaces for conversations that matter, including:

  • Confidence, healthy body image, identity, and self-worth
  • Faith, values, and character development
  • Navigating friendships and social pressure
  • Social media etiquette and online presence
  • Appropriate fashion, makeup, and personal presentation
  • Healthy dating, relationships, and boundaries
  • Handling peer pressure, drug and alcohol exposure, and decision-making
  • Navigating gossip, comparison, "mean girls," and conflict
  • Mental health, resilience, and life after showing
  • Making wise choices in both public and private settings
  • Life beyond the banner

These conversations are handled with care, respect, and encouragement — always focused on empowerment, not judgment.

Why Local Hosting Matters

Hosting a Luncheon or Social is a way to:

  • Invest directly in girls in your area
  • Create a safe, positive space beyond competition
  • Highlight young women who are doing things right
  • Strengthen the culture of agriculture in your community
  • Help girls in your community network and meet other stock show girls who share like minded goals and interests.
  • Build friendships before, during or after a major show or county fair.

Who Can Host?

We are always looking for local women leaders to host Stock Show Sisters Luncheons & Socials, including:

  • Stock show moms and ag advocates
  • Former exhibitors and collegiate ag leaders
  • Educators, coaches, and mentors
  • Women passionate about agriculture and youth development

If you can gather a group, follow a plan, and care deeply about girls in agriculture — you can host. Local events can be budgeted through event registrations and local sponsorships. Our goal is to make the luncheons affordable for all young ladies who would like to attend.
